Interesting movie and will definitely please people because of its Subject.
It defiantly is not an original subject, as the maker would want you to believe. You have had 'Mr 'X' in Bombay' or 'Funtosh' with Kishore Kumar, after that you had 'Mr India' with Sridevi. And also all the classics with peter lorre and most recently the movie by paul verhoeven with elisabeth shue and kevin bacon.
Originally titled Vishnu Prasad Gayab Ho Gaya, the film features Tusshar Kapoor as Vishnu Prasad, a guy who is extremely low on confidence
Comedy again seems to be the flavor of the latest Ramu's project which just might give a big lift to Tusshar Kapoor

Plot:
The Story revolves around.
Vishnu Prasad, a loser in life, lacking self-confidence and the attitude to lead a life. Things always go wrong with him. Having an unmatched knack of attracting problems, his life doesn't get any easier courtesy a nagging mother who takes pride in beating up vishnu given a slightest opportunity!. His father, who is a henpecked husband, is petrified to raise a voice, let alone take his side. His friends show their concern by designating him as the undisputed king of idiots. Mohini, the love of his life doesn't even know his existence and her boyfriend wants to break his bones. And as if all this was not enough...God makes him invisible!
What happens next?
Music:
One common factor across all the tracks of 'Gayab' is it's extraordinary orchestra that precedes the actual rendition of the song.
There is a longish musical arrangement before the title song 'Gayab Hoke Sab Dikhta Hai' begins. With 'Tanha', it is the turn of Amar Mohile to be seated at the musician chair. The track is about a guy who just can't be away from his beloved.
Ajay-Atul return in the alternate tracks with 'Dilkash' that singer Kunal Ganjawala behind the mike. A love song, it has good rhythm and impresses with it's overall arrangements. Amar Mohile returns with a Nitin Raikwar written Hinglish track - 'Main Love Tumse' sung by Vinod Rathod and a female who has not been credited on the cover. A love song, it fails to register and seems to be a track where everyone in the number has over-indulged, just in order to make something different. This particular track is not something that will cheer you up 'Superman' composed by Ajay Atul is a track that should sound and look hilarious on screen. There are references to Superman, Spiderman, James Bond and Robin-hood [through their signature tunes] by the girl who is completely smitten by the hero in her life. The score of 'Gayab' ends with a background music track - 'Rampage Notes' that is haunting, thrilling, entertaining and chilling in turns. A fast moving track.

On the whole:
On the whole, GAYAB is strong on hype, but weak in content. The USP of the film is the invisible factor in the story, but an amateur screenplay ruins the show. At the box-office, GAYAB might attract the multiplex audience for a day or two thanks to its aggressive promotion, but after the word is out, the drop in its collections will be inevitable. Business in Mumbai should prove to be slightly better, but in most circuits it will face an uphill task!
