Mr. Mitthalal Oswal is in the electronics business since 1980. He started with his joint family firm by the name of 'Ashok Traders' which is synonymous in the electronics business. Born in Rajasthan on 15 July 1957 he joined his father's business of trading in all items from plastics to steel utensils to electronics situated in Ravivar Peth. Mr. Oswal took it to greater heights and is actively involved in it still since almost 27 years. Today this firm boasts of having distribution rights of most of the companies dealing in the above items. His long list of business includes clearing & forwarding business and he has also entered the pharmaceuticals line also starting with Onida & Cadia Pharmaceuticals. 'Sony World' the Company showroom -his latest addition is definitely a site to behold. Spread over a vast area of 5000 sq .ft. it is the largest showroom in India among the 26 all over the country. It comprises of 2 home theaters ,1 conference room. He has distribution right for full Maharashtra except Mumbai & Vidarbha .The unique fact is that they also provide with home service & after sale service center also which is quiet new as showrooms generally are not service centers, but Mr. Oswal says that customer satisfaction is one of the prime objects he would like to achieve. Mr. Oswal is so much in love with Pune that he says that even if all this comforts of life & business are provided to him & he is asked to shift bases he will never shift .He loves the climate of Pune & enjoys what he does his best-business in Pune. He would be definitely happy if the problems like traffic ,pollution would be taken care of. He suggest it is high time Pune went in for road widening & hopes the R.T.O. takes notice of the hopeless situation. Happily married his family consists of his wife , daughter-Roopali (doing her final year in Home Science), and his son-Jitesh (doing his graduation in Commerce) & also helping his father totally in his business. As a matter of fact the Sony World Showroom is a venture Mr. Oswal undertook for his son future in the business. When asked about any further expansion he smiled and said that if he & his family can take care & maintain what he has now is more then enough. True to the meaning of his name Mr. Oswal is really a very nice ,down to earth & a sweet person. He has no airs what so ever in spite of being such a successful business man. |
