National Institute of Event Management
(NIEM) was formed to cater to the growing
needs of the huge multi-dimensioned Event Management
Industry in India.
Research showed that there was no formalized
education to teach Event Management. Event
management companies found that they had to spend a
lot of time in training personnel and they would
lose a perfectly trained person to competitor for a
better bait. Companies found that their executives
lacked expertise to handle events, and hence a
growing need was left, to have a formalized training
in Event Management. So it took a painstaking three
years research by Dr. Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla and his
team to start a course on Event Management.
National Institute of Event Management now opens
a New Centre at Ahemdabad.
The course was started with an aim to:-
1. Produce trained and qualified work force for the
event and entertainment industry.
2. Create a new class of Event Managers, Event Co-ordinators
and Consultants.
3. To bring India on a higher footing in the Events
Industry.
4. To constructively utilize the talents of our
youngsters towards one of the fastest growing
industry. (it grows at 30%)
This gave birth to National Institute of Event
Management (NIEM) an autonomous institute to
teach Event Management, which readily got
overwhelming support from the Media (Print &
Satellite) Event Industry, Entertainment Industry &
Students.
National Institute of Event Management (NIEM)
enters its 12th year from June 2011, besides being
the first institute in Asia to start Event
Management as a study, NIEM has gone a long
way in its achievement list.
The main creditentails of NIEM is that the Institute
has a credible brand name in Event and educational
circles all over the world, based on honest research
and involvement with the Event Industry, it has
solid foundations. The world class faculty is
unmatched; The institutes sends its students for
training to over 700 events in year including the
fabulous Femina, Filmfare, Zee Cine Awards, Gladrags,
Screen, Mumbai Marathon, Ad Asia, Abby, Femina

Special Events Society (ISES) and International
Festival and Events Association (IFEA) and now
Regency Institute of Tafe (Govt. of South
Australia), also the only one to teach international

Foreign website for world rankings in Events. A

In-house Event Training
National level shows are organized by
NIEM like MR. & MS. UNIVERSITY,
College Idol and Event Manager of the
Year Awards to train students to
do a complete event from start to
finish. Students also do their own
special event, Independence Day
Celebrations and a theme party.
Accommodation for Outstation students
Decent PG accommodation help will be
provided on the commencement of the
course for outstation students at our
all centre.
Admission forms along with the
prospectus will be available between
10.00 am to 7.00 pm from Monday to
Saturday.
Students will also have to submit a duly
filled admission form and then he/she
will pay the required fees.

and ask for admission forms of DEM which
will be sent by email. Fill it, attach
fees and send to obtain admission.
PS: Forms without fees will not
be treated as admission granted, or a
seat kept reserved.
PS: Students should also attach a
photocopy of their final year or HSC
mark sheet and three photographs with
the duly filled in application form.
Students who are appearing for their
final year or HSC can also apply
provided they submit their mark sheet on
