Panchgani a quite place situated at an altitude of approx. 1335 m it is just 40 m below Mahabaleshwar. It is situated on five hills from which it derives its name as Panchgani. Panchgani is the native place for maximum number of schools and boarding . Best time to visit here is in August - September when the flowers like buttercup and sweet pea abound on the hill side which gives it a total flower bed look. Grover's of casuarinas and silver oak are common sight in this scenically beautiful weekend get away.
