Wisdom World School is proud to have Miss Simoes as the
Director and Principal of Wisdom World School, Wakad,
Pune.
Miss Simoes comes to us with her 24 years experience at
St. Mary’s School, Pune. Wisdom World School boasts of a
strong academic faculty under the able guidance of Miss
Simoes.
Mrs. Currimbhoy, former Coordinator St. Mary’s School,
Boys’ Section, Pune joins us as Coordinator, Wisdom
World School, Wakad, Pune.
Wisdom World School provides an interactive environment
where parents are able to monitor the progress of their
child from the confines of their home through an
interactive portal with the school.
Throughout the year various clubs and activities such as
Theatre, Music, Art, Swimming, Martial Arts, Cookery,
etc. are organized by the staff.
Wisdom World School is one of the only schools in Pune
to have an Amphitheatre which will encourage the
children to express themselves through Speech and Drama.
Wisdom World School boasts of multi media enabled class
rooms, fully equipped computer lab, football ground,
basketball court, lawn tennis, swimming pool,
auditorium, school buses, etc.

Academics |
|
Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Preparatory
The Curriculum in these years is grounded in active
learning. Through practical activities, purposeful play
and talk, pupils develop an understanding of the world
and the basic concepts they will need for later
learning.
Stds. I - IV
The Curriculum in these years aims at developing
children’s personal, physical and emotional well being;
provides opportunities to develop social skills as well
as developing language and communication, reading and
writing, maths, science, knowledge and understanding of
the world; and creative development. Children have many
opportunities to express themselves through drawing,
painting, collage and model making. They will work
collaboratively with a partner or a group. They will
learn and sing new songs and rhymes, participate in
cultural displays and learn the nuances of Speech and
Drama. This will instil a sense of confidence in each
child at an early stage.
Stds V - X
The School will be affiliated to the Council for the
Indian School Certificate Examination and prepares
students for the ICSE Examination (Indian Certificate of
Secondary Education). English (language and literature),
is given the greatest weightage in the curriculum.
The following subjects will be offered for the I.C.S.E.
Examination: English, Hindi, History Civics and
Geography, Environmental Education, Mathematics, Science
(Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and a Sixth Optional
Subject such as Home Science, Commercial Applications,
Computer Applications, Technical Drawing Applications,
etc. |

Admission Process |
|
Children
are accepted in the Pre-Nursery from the age of two and
a half and a corresponding scale of age is fixed for the
corresponding standards.
Application forms for admission to Pre-Nursery to Std.
IV are available online. Forms need to be filled online
and a print out of the same needs to be submitted to the
school in person.
No child will be admitted to the Pre-Nursery, Nursery
and Prep classes without a copy of the Birth
Certificate. The Birth Certificate must be submitted
along with the application form.
SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FORM DOES NOT GUARANTEE
ADMISSION.
Admissions are made against vacancies that may arise at
the end of the academic year.
The latest School report must be submitted along with
the Application Form. If the child’s Report is very good
and she/he is from an ICSE School we may not put him/her
through an entrance test.
Pupils who join the School in Std. 1 and above should
submit a Transfer Certificate from the previous School.
Admissions will be given after an interview process.
Admissions to the higher classes will be given on the
basis of the past report card and an interaction with
the parents and the child. |
