Ornellas High
School is a school situated in the heart
of the city Nana Peth. It was founded in
1887. The principal is Father Elias
Rodrigues, he has been the principal
since 2000. The Vice principal since
1999 is Mrs. Marlyn Jacob. There are in
all 38 teachers for the high school and
total number of students are 1245. As it
is a high school it starts from the 5 th
standard till 10 th standard. There are
about 714 students & 16 teachers in
primary section. The Marathi Primary
School has 263 students and 4 teachers.
Amongst many other activities in the
school some are Art, Craft, Drawing,
Elocution, Dramatics, Music, Sports &
Games, Quiz, Competitions, Cultural
Programs, Singing Competition. School
also conducts R.S.P.
There are both English and Marathi
mediums in the school, S.S.C. Board. The
school has a big playing ground, with a
