Pre-Monsoon Rains Expected In Maharashtra From Tomorrow, June 7
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that pre-monsoon rains will reach Maharashtra state tomorrow ie June 7.
Dr. Anupam Kashyapi, Scientist ‘F’, Head, Weather & Air Pollution Monitoring Unit, IMD, said, “Now slowly moisture level over our State/district will increase. Tomorrow onward rainfall activity will increase especially in the afternoon hours with a chance of thundery development, lightning, and momentarily strong gusty winds.
Initially, light rain may be for a short duration (1 hr or so) for a couple of days but may be associated with 1-2 intense spells. All these as part of the pre-monsoon/summer rain activity. Slowly with this rainfall activity, monsoon currents will start entering our State.”
