Belongs to a military background, having studied in different  schools  through out India, finishing from a school in Zambia in South Africa at G.C.E.(O) levels. Her hobbies include playing Bridge, gardening & socializing.

After studding in Mumbai for 1 year returned to Pune and completed her Graduation in chemistry from Ferguson college of Arts & Science.

She was always fond of writing from her childhood, and has been writing since her school days. She joined Maharashtra Herald and started her editing career. Her first article appeared in 1981 in the Times of India. Along with writing she enjoys a huge experience of working in all the Media giants like India Express, Afternoon Bombay (Dispatch & Courier), now joined citadel the Magazine in September 2000 has an Editor. The Magazine has already covered 11 years of existence.

She is always ahead in highlighting problems of Pune & Puneites. She always keeps her eye on the city. When asked 'why Pune to settle down' & she said Pune is the most happening  city. The city has everything you want.

Her aim is to have Citadel magazine as an house hold magazine.

She also said that Pune is already a wonderful city to live in & wants that it should remain like this only & doesn't want evils to be imported to this wonderful city of arts, culture, education & sports.

Through Citadel she wants to convey the message to all Puneties to participate in the development of the city, which is their duty, & makes the city a much more better place to live in.
