- To give relieve for tired and strained
eyes place teabags soaked in chilled water over closed eyes. Regular use
will bring the sparkle and smile to your face.
- To remove puffiness, place cotton pads
soaked in potato juice (granted and extracted from raw potato) over eyes.
Regular use will reduce dark circles from under eyes.
- Dip fingers in warm olive oil every
alternate day for 7-8 minutes. Remove and rub the oil that stays over till
the hands absorb it. Reuse the same oil cup to keep fingers and hand soft
and free from winter dryness.
- 1 tsp. Soya flour, 3-4 pinches salt, 1/2
tsp. Olive oil, mixed together and rubbed gently on skin make an excellent
exercise for skin.
- Wash hands and feet before sleeping.
Apply petroleum jelly generously. Wear woolen or cotton socks and mittens.
This will not only keep you warm and decrease chances of itching colds, it
will keep your hands and feet, soft and supple through the winter.
- Chill cucumber juice and apply pads
soaked in them over tired and strained eyes, to release the tension and
bring back freshness and sparkle.
- Rubbed inner peel of banana over skin,
and washed off, after 15 minutes, for that fresh, cool, glowing feeling.
- Rinse washed hair with a dilute
decoction of tea in the last mug full, to add a luster and bounce your
hair.
- Lemon and orange peels, dried and
powdered an mixed with gram flour can be used as an excellent exfoliate. Add 1 tsp. curds to 1 tbsp. flour mixture. This can be used as
a bath scrub for body, daily.
- The curls will stay in place longer if you wash your hair the
previous day.
- For the glossy finish, apply a small amount
of a shine serum onto your locks.
- To tone down the look for day, use a lighter plum or
blue-grey
shadow, and don’t blend higher than your creases.
- Apply a teeny bit of colour to the tip of your nose to create an
authentic, outdoorsy look. Blend well.
- Dab brush on the palm of your hand to remove excess shimmer powder,
or you could end up looking like Ms Grease face.
