Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham to conduct Phase 3 of Amrita Entrance Examination 2021 from 11-14 July

JUNE 17, 2021: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham – ranked the 4th Best Overall University in India in the 2020 National Institution Ranking Framework (NIRF) – has announced it will conduct Phase 3 of Amrita Entrance Examination (AEEE) 2021 for B.Tech admissions from 11th to 14th July. Candidates who attempted AEEE 2021 in Phase 1 and 2 also have the opportunity to improve their marks in Phase 3. The examination will be fully online with remote proctoring.

Foundation Program in Engineering & Career Counselling for Future Engineers

Amrita varsity’s Office of Admissions & Outreach would be conducting a series of sessions under the DISHA platform to educate all prospective engineering students about future possibilities in each B.Tech stream. Faculty from Amrita School of Engineering, Chennai, will be conducting “TechTalk” sessions on technologies of the future and how various engineering branches are synced with these.

 This Foundation Programme is designed to ensure a smoother transition from +2 to the engineering stream, keeping in mind that no physical classes have been held for the +2 students since Feb 2020. The objective is to build a strong foundation of core fundamentals of science and technology among engineering aspirants and relate it with technologies of the future and real-time applications. The Programme intends to create proper awareness among students and parents about various branches of engineering other than computer science. It is essential to educate future engineers about all the possibilities and job opportunities that will arise in the coming years with technological advancement.

 Centralized Seat Allotment & Admissions

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will start the B.Tech Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP) for 2021admissions in the first week of August. CSAP for the B.Tech programs, offered at Amritapuri (Kerala), Bengaluru, Chennai, and Coimbatore campuses of the varsity, will be fully online. Futuristic programs like Automation & Robotics, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence are offered at all four of these campuses. Interested candidates can register for the CSAP by paying the registration fee. A minimum of three rounds of seat allotment will be conducted so that the candidates can exercise the sliding option.

 50% of seats are reserved with scholarship fees for top-ranked students.

Those who register for CSAP are allotted the branch most preferred by the candidate. Meritorious candidates will get the seats with scholarship fees. Candidates with a good rank can avail the scholarship.

 Placements

Amrita varsity also trains its students through the four-year B.Tech course in soft skills and encourages them to undergo various certification programs. Around 90 to 95% of eligible Amrita students get placed every year. The average annual salary for students ranges from Rs 5 to 6 lakhs. The highest salary offered each year has consistently been above Rs 50 lakhs per annum. In the year 2020, the highest salary offered to an Amrita B.Tech student was Rs 56.95 lakhs per annum.

 In a first, students can now qualify for admission to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s engineering programs by acing its international examination called Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE), or any of the four eligibility exams including Remote Proctored Examination (CBT or RPE) or JEE Mains 2021 or SAT or Pearson UG Entrance Examination Score (PUEE). The varsity is adhering to the JEE Mains pattern for AEEE – Engineering 2021 Centre Based Test.

 The eligibility for appearing in the AEEE test is 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board with not less than 55% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics separately, and an aggregate minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates seeking admission should be born on or after 1st July 2000.

AEEE 2021 will be conducted online in three phases in April, May, and June for admissions to B.Tech. programs at four campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham located at Amritapuri (Kerala), Bengaluru, Chennai, and Coimbatore. Eligible students can participate in any phase of the online/offline test to qualify for admission the same examination is also conducted offline. The choice of the examination mode lies with the candidate. Maximum three attempts would be allowed for a student, and the best score considered for the ranking.

 Once a candidate clears any of the given eligibility examinations, an online counseling session will be conducted individually to discuss the prospective engineering programs available, based on the grade. Over 200 students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham get the opportunity to study abroad each year under various programs.
