rate safety the highest here.
Few tips for
deciding whether to go to a professional or not..
* Foams and gels * Waxes * Shaving creams (both herbal & cosmetic) * Chemical depilatories * Electronic shavers * Electrolysis devices * Disposable shavers
Please go to a reputed professional one if you decide to go to a professional, check out his credentials
on hand. These professionals are well trained, have latest techniques and
equipments for hair removal also they know their job well. Services offered by Professionals include-
waxing (hot and cold), laser treatments (selective salons will have this
as its a new technique, you might have to visit a cosmetic surgeon for
this), electrolysis etc...
Methods explained
Waxing :(temporary but
comparatively safer method)
It is a temporary but safer way.
Waxing is not a difficult method just
apply some proportionate amount of warm wax directly to the unwanted hair in
the direction of hair growth, whether it's on your hands, legs (do not apply
it on genital area, moles, varicose veins, chapped skin, wounds, nipples).
once you have applied it wait for it to harden for 15-30 minutes just stick a
gauge cloth which should be cut in strips, over the applied area and remove it
later in a fast pull, taking out the hair by the root. Hair will return
within four to six weeks, but the results are encouraging.
Note
Think of waxing if you have large
amount of hair to be removed and very little time also if you do not mind the
sticky bandages (wax) Then you should get your self a home waxing kit.
There are "hot" and "cold" waxes. With hot waxing, a thin
layer of heated wax is applied to the skin in the direction of the hair
growth. The hair becomes embedded in the wax as it cools and hardens. The wax
is then pulled off quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth,
taking the uprooted hair with it. While depilatories, (shaving) remove hair at the skin's surface, depilatories, (tweezers
& waxes) pluck hairs from below the surface. The latter may be painful
slightly but the results are better and long lasting as the hair is plucked at
the root. Cold waxes work the same way as warm wax, can be used for eyebrows, upper lip,
chin etc.
caution
Before applying test a little amount on a small area for any possible reactions then
apply to other areas. if you are not satisfied with the results go in for a
professional waxing for best possible results.
Hair above your upper lips
:- For removing the hair over upper lips, waxing is one of the safest method of
removing unwanted hair. It would
be safer here to go to a professional as the lips area is a delicate area.
The technician will apply hot wax to an area of skin with a wooden object
spatula. After the wax hardens, the technician pulls off the strips. For six
weeks you won't get hair growth there.
Shaving (usually use on legs, arms underarms only)
It's the most common method but don't remove
your upper lip hair with this method. Remove hair in other areas (legs and
underarms).
Before shaving add a few drops of Dettol in the shaving mug put your razor in it for a few
minutes to make it germ-free. Take a new shaving razor with a sharp blade apply
some shaving gel or cream and work up a rich lather then in straight non
random strokes start shaving gently do not repeat strokes over the same area.
If you do repeat strokes it will cause you irritation. While shaving large hair
area keep two to three razors handy as once the shaved hair gets stuck the
razor doesn't shave properly. Never shave dry; wet hair is soft, and easier to
cut.
